Winter Operations Plan

During the 2020-21 winter season, safety will remain of utmost importance to us. Our winter operational plans place the health, safety, and well-being of our guests, staff, and community at the forefront of our efforts. We will also continue to monitor and adhere to, evolving COVID-19 procedures and guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), The Utah Department of Health and the Summit County Health Department.

This winter is much different than the ones in the past. We have put precautions and plans in place to open on November 20, 2020. It is going to take the cooperation of all guests and employees to keep this a safe and healthy winter. The COVID environment is ever-changing and could disrupt operations and our plan at any moment. We may have to make quick operational changes to comply with local, state, and government authorities.
We are asking you to support and respect the decisions we have made so we can continue to operate.
While you plan for winter, please know that we believe it is imperative that we all do what we can to help operate safely and mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

*Face Mask and Covering Guidelines
While on Park City Sport property, masks or face coverings are required when waiting in line, interacting with staff, and at all times indoors. Please note: As per a Summit County Public Health Order, single-layer face coverings that can be seen through, and face coverings with two-way valves are not approved. N-95 or KN-95 masks with valves are approved for use. For additional information on Summit County’s Public Health Order and approved face coverings, please go to

Our employees undergo daily health screens and additional training on COVID safety. We are continuing with increased frequency of cleaning in high trafficked areas and high touch surfaces. The stores are cleaned using CDC approved disinfecting solutions.  We are utilizing all recommended virus prevention methods and monitoring to minimize fomite or aerosol transmission risk including electrostatic sprayers, UV light wands, Hepa air filters, increased ventilation aiming for six full replacements of indoor air volume per hour, and measuring the air change rate with carbon dioxide air quality monitors.

We are encouraging advanced purchases of gear rentals.
